Social Sabby Sports
This league is designed for children of all ability levels, ages 8-16. Our goal is to offer children in our community the chance to develop physical and social skills, sportsmanship, leadership, and the chance to be part of an inclusive team. We also aim to build autism awareness, but more importantly autism understanding and patience of the peer participants in our extended communities.
The inclusion of typical peer mentors proves invaluable to the development and esteem building of children on the spectrum. We understand that many other sports activities are segregated by ability level, but our league is inclusive and designed for all to play together.
We believe every child deserves the chance to be apart of a team.
The details:
There will be a total of 6 teams, with 10 children per team. Each week there will be 3 concurrent games to follow group warm up activities and exercises. Every team will be balanced by age and ability level for equal match-ups. The game schedule will be on a rotating basis, so that at the end of the 6 week series, all teams will have played each other.
Each game will have an adult referee to facilitate the game and enforce the league rules. We will have 3 volunteers to keep score.
You will find a waiver requiring your signature upon submission of the registration form below, please complete this in order for your child to participate, please note it is valid for 1 year and we will keep this on file.
Registration closed Sunday September 29, 2019. Registration and completed waiver were due by this date.

League Rules:
Sportsmanship is our most important rule, any poor sportsmanship will result in a player being asked to leave the field of play immediately.
- There are no strikeouts, leading off or stealing.
- The play comes to an end once the ball returns to the pitcher.
- A player can be out in Kickball when:
- The ball is caught by an opposing team member
- They are tagged out by an opposing player
- The player is forced out at a base by an opposition team member
- To score a run, a runner simply has to safely reach the home plate before then end of an innings.
- In Kickball, fairplay means players are expected to monitor themselves and ‘walk’ if they themselves think that they are out and not wait for the referee’s decision.
- The team with the most runs at the end of the last inning will be deemed the winner.
- The referee for each game will make all calls based on their best judgment, all calls are final.
