Lorraine Frederick, Director Social Sabby

Lorraine Frederick is an experienced marketing communications professional, who studied at The Fashion Institute of Technology in NYC, with a focus on advertising and marketing communications. She has over 20 years of business experience working for major fashion brands in NYC, including Dolce and Gabbana and Calvin Klein Inc. Her desire to get back to her CT roots, led her to increase her business acumen working across new industries, including consumer-packaged goods, beauty and nutrition. Her last position held was Director of Marketing & Advertising for a global nutritional supplement company based in Farmington, CT.

While she experienced professional success, and will always be a true marketer at heart, there was a missing piece to the puzzle, and that was the desire to give back to her community and help others. Through her now husband Kevin, she was introduced to Social Sabby in 2012, and has taken a partnership role in the organization ever since.

What started out as volunteering and creating flyers to advertise upcoming events, turned into making Social Sabby her full-time focus, with the long-term goal of expanding available services nationwide. Today Lorraine manages the Social Sabby business operations, website and advertising, while her husband Kevin continues to work directly with famililes in the community to provide inclusive group programming and 1:1 support services. In 2019 she successfully transitioned Social Sabby to an official 501c3 Non-Profit Public Charity. She now works to secure local and federal grant funding to assist local families with the cost to participate in Social Sabby programming. In 2022, Social Sabby was awarded a Federal Grant through The City of Meriden and The American Rescue Plan Act allowing a 50% discount on all program services. She continues to work diligently on acquiring funding to offer support services for special needs children in the greater Meriden, CT community.
