Ballin’ 4 Autism Basketball Tournament Rules
General Rules
2 Divisions, 3 on 3, (up to 4pp team)
High School Division
Adult (18+) Division
· Tournament is open to players ages 15 years and older.
· Tournament is on Saturday June 15th at 12:30 pm at Mountain Mist Day Camp (check-in begins at 12 pm)
· No jewelry or other accessories that may be hazardous.
· Players demonstrating repeated intentional and or careless inappropriate behaviors resulting in fouls or risks to themselves or other players will be asked to sit on the bench for the duration of the game at the sole discretion of the official.
· Must have good sportsmanship.

Team Rules
· Register your team by June 13th, first 8 teams will be guaranteed a spot in the tournament (each team must have a complete roster upon registration; including a team name). Fee $80 per team, payable on socialsabby.com
· All teams must sign a Liability Waiver prior to the tournament and include all team member names on the team form. A team that plays with a non-registered participant will forfeit. Complete the waiver here: Waiver Link
· Each team must have a designated team captain. Team captains must check in with officials before each game, and are the only players who may converse with officials during the games. Players who violate this rule are subject to forfeit.
· Teams are allowed one 1-minute time-out per game. During this time teams may substitute players if needed. The game clock will stop during this time.
· A player may only play on one designated team.
Game Format
· Tournament bracket will be posted June 14th.
· Double Elimination (each team is guaranteed two games).
· Games will be played using half court.
· Games will be 15 minutes long or first team to 11 points.
· A coin toss will determine which team gets the ball to start.
· Teams must take the ball back after each change of possession.
· The ball will change possession after each made basket and after free throw attempts. There is no “make it, take it” rule.
· The ball must be checked by an opposing player before it is put into play.
· Each basket is worth one point; foul shots are worth 1 point. “Three-point” shots will be worth 2 points.
· The official size ball will be used for the tournament.
· At game time, if the team is missing one player a 5 minutes grace period will be allotted for them to find an alternate player (which must be approved by the supervisor).
· Player Changes: If a player is injured or cannot attend a game during the tournament a replacement player must be approved by the supervisor.
· Teams MUST START THE GAME WITH THREE PLAYERS but may finish with two (less than two is a forfeit).
· Refs will call fouls.
· Technical Fouls: will be called for unsportsmanlike acts such as taunting, baiting or trash talk. Aggressive physical play will not be tolerated and will result in ejection from the tournament (two shot penalty).
· Strict enforcement of basketball fundamentals by the official.
